Livestock and Meat Evaluation Teams Represent FHS at State Competition

The Florence High School Livestock Team placed 6th in the state out of approximately 35 teams this past Friday. This is the third time FHS has competed in this competition and is the highest they have ever placed! We have steadily increased our placings each year. Please congratulate the following students if you see them. They have put in countless hours studying and practicing and their hard work paid off.

The FHS Meat Evaluation team also did a great job. It was the first time competing for FHS. Advisors are still waiting on the final results of the competition for meats so it is unknown at this time where they placed. Please congratulate these kids as well. They spent the entire day on Friday in a very cold slaughterhouse judging meat carcasses, cuts of meat, and being tested on food safety.
