Shawn Cluff

Biography

Hello, My name is Shawn Cluff. This year marks my 23rd year here at FHS, and 4th year as an assistant principal and Athletic Director. I am a lifelong resident of Florence. I graduated from Florence High in 1988. I am a fourth generation graduate from FHS and my daughter will graduate this year (2017) to carry on that tradition. After high school, I attended Central Arizona College. In 1991 I transferred to the University of Arizona where I received my Bachelor’s degree in AgEd in 1994. I started my teaching career here that year teaching Agricultural Education. After teaching Ag for 9 years I transitioned to teaching Construction. Through that program, my students built 4 houses here in town. I also coached Florence Football for 19 years and was the head coach from 1999 to 2008. In 2000 I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. I decided to move into administration and got my Principal’s certificate in 2012. I have loved my time here at FHS and I am a very proud alumnus that bleeds Gopher Red. I am married to my best friend, Heidi, and we have 3 beautiful children, Kyon 18, Kolbi 17, and Kaden 12. As a family we love participating in school events and supporting the Gophers on the athletic fields.
